Baku. Malahat Najafova –APA. The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs plan to organize a meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan before the end of the year, Minsk Group Co-Chair James Warlick of the US said Monday in Armenia, APA reported citing news.am.
In his words, organizing a high-level talk will be one of the points to be discussed during the co-chairs’ current visit to Yerevan and Baku.
Warlick stressed that since a constitutional referendum will be conducted in Armenia on December 6 and based on the schedules of the presidents, this meeting can be held after the referendum, but before the year’s end.
But until then, as per the US co-chair, the negotiation process needs to be intensified at a lower level than the presidents, and this could be at the level of either a committee or a working group. James Warlick added that there is also a need for public diplomacy projects, which the OSCEMinsk Group co-chairs likewise stand ready to assist in.
