Belarus and Estonia have been developing public diplomacy for more than 10 years, Valeri Korb, head of the Estonian parliamentary friendship group with the Belarusian parliament, told media on 7 December, BelTA has learned.
According to Valeri Korb, first of all it pertains to regional cooperation. For instance, 11 years ago an agreement on cooperation was signed between Soligorsk and Kohtla-Jarve. “We get on really well. We have a great potential for development in culture, education, and economic sector,” he said.
The MP believes that it is high time Belarus and Estonia moved from regional to a higher, interstate, level of cooperation.
