It was encouraging to see Tara Sonenshine’s op-ed this week on the “Generation Change” program to combat violent extremism (see http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/international/246681-to-counter-violent-extremism-focus-on-the-young) But if you want more information about it, good luck.
Searching on state.gov, you find articles dating back to 2010, when the program started. Fair enough: "Generation Change" was spun off to USIP.
But then when you search usip.org (or Google for that matter), what you find is underwhelming: after five years, the program has reached 54 people, according to an USIP report three months ago (see http://www.usip.org/publications/2015/04/01/connecting-young-activists-across-the-middle-east-and-africa-generation)
Perhaps there is more to “Generation Change.” If so, it could be a step forward if USIP or State.gov (or any site Google can find) had any information about it that could be of interest to its target audience, let alone anyone else.
